Dear Mr. Bob Moritz, Global Chairman of PwC,
I am writing to express my serious concerns regarding the recent revelations in the press concerning the actions of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). Specifically, I refer to an article in the Tagesanzeiger dated November 17, 2023, which highlights PwC's assistance in circumventing sanctions against one of Russia's wealthiest and most important oligarchs, Alexei Mordashov. This is extremely alarming in today's climate and raises serious questions about ethics.
I would also like to draw attention to the parallel with the Wirecard case, where investors were deceived through balance sheet manipulation and questionable audit reports, and PwC's role in auditing the 2019 financial statements of Wirecard Bank is being examined according to research by SZ and WDR. This report raises serious questions.
Furthermore, despite our notifications on January 11, 2021, and August 10, 2023, PwC has thus far issued "clean audit reports" to Allianz SE, despite obvious signs of balance sheet manipulation, suspicion of corruption, and falsification of the public land register of Allianz SE AZ: 70 HV 95-750 152/50 NoWa, which directly lead to manipulation of Allianz SE shares (WKN: 840400).
Given the gravity of these allegations and the potential impact on investors and stakeholders, I urgently request that you initiate a comprehensive investigation immediately. It is PwC's responsibility to fulfill its duty to diligently audit all of Allianz's balance sheets and provide investors and the public with assurance.
