He will come again in glory for the final deliverance of His people and the restoration of all things.

The Holy Spirit

This doctrine describes God the eternal Spirit as being active with the Father and the Son in Creation, incarnation, and redemption. He is as much a person as are the Father and the Son. He inspired the writers of Scripture. He filled Christ's life with power. He draws and convicts human beings; and those who respond He renews and transforms into the image of God. He guides, comforts, empowers, teaches, and leads into all truth those who accept Christ as Lord.

Creation

This doctrine affirms that God is the Creator of all things out of nothing by His spoken word in six literal days. He made everything good, beautiful, and perfect, reflecting His glory. He created humanity in His own image, male and female, with free will, intelligence, creativity, and moral responsibility. He gave them dominion over His creation, to care for it according to His will. He also established His holy Sabbath as a memorial of His creative act.

The Nature of Humanity

This doctrine explains that humanity was created by God with dignity and worth, but fell into sin through disobedience to His commandment. As a result, human nature became corrupted by evil, alienated from God, and subject to death. Apart from Christ, humanity is hopeless, lost, and condemned. Only through God's grace can humanity be restored to His image.

The Great Controversy

This doctrine reveals that there is a cosmic conflict between good and evil that began when Lucifer, a powerful angelic being who was once loyal to God, rebelled against Him out of pride and envy. He persuaded many other angels to join him in his rebellion, and they were cast out of heaven as Satan and his demons. Satan then tempted Adam and Eve to sin against God in Eden, bringing sin and death into this world. Since then, Satan has been working to deceive, tempt, accuse, and destroy humanity, opposing God's character, law, and plan of salvation. God has been working to reveal His love, truth, justice, and mercy through His prophets, His Son Jesus Christ, His church, and His faithful people throughout history. The great controversy will end when Christ returns to judge all people according to their deeds and choices, to reward His faithful followers with eternal life on a new earth free from sin and suffering, and to destroy Satan and his followers with fire.
